Brian Cole

brianwebsitenascopic-150x150Brian began his aquatics career in 1987 while working as a lifeguard and swim instructor at flat water aquatic facilities. In 1989, he started at his first waterpark as a lifeguard at Heritage Island Waterpark in upstate South Carolina.  His tenure at Paramount’s Carowinds  (located in Charlotte, North Carolina)  began in 1992, first as a lifeguard then rising through the ranks to the role of Operations Manager. During his twelve years at Carowinds, Brian was responsible for the start-up operation of a multi-million dollar waterpark expansion and diversified his role at the park by managing coaster operations and Halloween events (“Scarowinds”). In 2004, he oversaw the operation for Raging Waters Waterpark  in Wildwood, New Jersey.

Brian has been certified through the years as an instructor/instructor trainer for the National Aquatic Safety Company, American Red Cross and Ellis & Associates, as an EMT in South Carolina and  as a Certified Pool Operator (CPO). He has participated in numerous International Aquatic Safety Schools and been on faculty for many of them. Brian has a BA degree in Anthropology from the University of South Carolina. He is the Director of Operations for NASCO and an Instructor Trainer.
